aboutme

It's traditional in an "about me" page to let you know how and why the company got started so here's my story. For 24 years, I was employed at Eastman Kodak. They allowed me every opportunity to do my job (Health, Safety and Environmental Communications) the way I thought it should be done. I was given carte blanche to choose any safety topic I wanted to write about and I enjoyed accolades both at home and abroad.

Unfortunately, downsizing and rightsizing to keep competitive led to the elimination of my communication position. Although I was offered another position, I elected to stay home while my son is young. I'm enjoying helping out in his school and volunteering in the community. Safety issues, however, are never far from my mind.

I believe a comprehensive safety communication program is critical to getting employees on-board with your safety plans. In addition, information that is presented in a light-hearted manner is better suited for today's employee who doesn't want to be hit over the head with safety regulations. Take a look at the newsletters on this site. Choose from topics already available or let me know your own special safety needs. You can have a monthly safety presence at work for very little money — ideal for today's cost-conscious companies!

In addition to my safety communications business, I also do some freelance graphic design work for a few companies/organizations. The Women's Council of RIT, The Baobab Cultural Center (print work) in Rochester, NY, Designs In Line (a Florida-based Interior Redesign business), DiBacco Realty (a Niagara Falls Real Estate Site), Debbie's Desktop (my own site for print/design work), Cornerstone Community Church and Aware (a Lockport, NY Wildlife Rehabilitation site) and my client-test website: www.goseeyoursite.com are but a few. Please check out their sites for more information, if you are interested.
